One of the greatest joys of being a photographer is watching a family’s story unfold. In November, I had the privilege of capturing Kelsey and George during their maternity session as they anticipated their little one's arrival.
Fast forward a couple months, and I was overjoyed when Kelsey and George came back for me to document their beautiful baby girl, Gianna, as a newborn.
A Look Back at the Maternity Session
Kelsey and George’s maternity session was perfectly timed. We chose a serene outdoor location in St Peters right before sunset. Kelsey looked radiant and was literally glowing in the sunset light. It was a chilly day and most of the leaves had already fallen, but we found some gorgeous spots with the last bit of fall color mixed with beautiful sunset light too.
Introducing Baby Gianna
I was so honored to photograph Gianna just three days after Christmas. She was tiny, perfect, and absolutely adored by her parents. Kelsey and George have seamlessly stepped into their roles as parents, and during a feeding we talked about how instantly when you have a baby you become a team. Being part of Kelsey and George’s journey from bump to baby was an incredible honor. It’s sessions like these that remind me why I love what I do. Photography isn’t just about taking pictures; it’s about preserving emotions, connections, and the fleeting moments that make life so beautiful.
